Business voicemail
Business voicemail, transcribed. Or no voicemail at all.
Every Ody number and user gets voicemail with a custom greeting and a transcript delivered to the inbox. But 80% of callers who reach voicemail don't leave one. Point the line at the AI receptionist and those calls get answered, booked and texted back instead.
Try Ody for free →Voicemail transcripts are included on every plan. The AI receptionist alternative is included too.
Voicemail per number and per user, with custom greetings
Transcripts in the shared inbox, Slack or your CRM, on every plan
Voicemail-to-email style delivery without a desk phone or a fax line
Or route to the AI receptionist and never send a caller to voicemail again
Voicemail that reads like a message
When a call goes unanswered and the AI isn't on, callers hear your greeting and leave a message. Ody transcribes it and drops the audio plus transcript into the conversation thread, next to the calls and texts from that caller. Read it in the shared inbox, get it posted to Slack, or logged as a note in your CRM.
One greeting per line, one per person
Your main number can say one thing, the support line another, and each teammate records their own. Greetings are text you type, read in a natural voice, or audio you upload.
The honest problem with voicemail
Most callers who reach a voicemail hang up and call the next business. The ones who do leave a message expect a callback within the hour. Voicemail is a queue you owe work to, and the caller has already started shopping.
The alternative: let the AI answer
Turn on the AI receptionist for the same line. Instead of a greeting and a beep, the caller gets a conversation: their question answered, an appointment booked, an emergency routed, or a detailed message taken and summarised. You can keep voicemail as the last fallback if the AI is told to hand off.
Missed calls, texted back
Whether or not a message is left, Ody can text the caller from your number the moment a call is missed. Many businesses recover more callers this way than voicemail ever did.
Everything in one inbox
Voicemails, transcripts, texts, calls and AI summaries live in one shared inbox per number, so the person following up sees the whole history instead of a lone audio file.
