Call-outs and running late
Logs the caregiver, client, shift and reason, rings the on-call coordinator per your ring order, and texts the summary.
Ring ordersThe week
Each one is a client, a claim or a job that went to whoever picked up.
A client alone at 7am because the call-out went to voicemail.
Families choose agencies that pick up at 9pm.
Referral sources call the next agency on the list.
Recruiting is a phone game. Missed calls are missed hires.
Setups by size
Pick the shape of your business. Every feature below links to its own page; every setup is one you can build in an afternoon.
One line, forwarded to whoever is on call
One agency number rings the app on your phone; when you can't answer, the receptionist logs call-outs, answers family inquiries and texts you a summary. Forward the line to a relief coordinator on the weekends you're off.
Inside your hours the line rings your phone and the receptionist picks up if you don't. Outside them it answers first ring, logs the call-out or inquiry and texts you a summary immediately.
Send the agency line to any phone in two clicks. Forwarded calls stay in your log with where they went. The forward target's voicemail owns the no-answer case while forwarding is on.
Caregivers confirm tomorrow's shift by text; families get visit confirmations, all on the agency number with replies in each thread. One-time 10DLC registration at onboarding.
AI receptionist
You describe services, rates, service area, your on-call process and what counts as urgent. The receptionist logs, routes and texts from that, and never gives care advice.
Logs the caregiver, client, shift and reason, rings the on-call coordinator per your ring order, and texts the summary.
Ring ordersAnswers rate and service questions from your instructions, collects the care needs you specify, and books the assessment with the care manager.
How the receptionist worksTakes the message, flags it as urgent per your rules and rings the on-call coordinator.
How the receptionist worksCollects the patient, the start date and the planner's details, and creates a priority task for intake.
Shared inboxAnswers the basics from your posting, collects the applicant's details and texts the application link you provide.
Business textingAnswers first ring, logs and routes per your policy, texts the on-call and the caller what happens next.
How the receptionist worksThe record
On Growth and above, each recorded call is transcribed with speaker labels and summarized into who called, which client, what happened and the next step. Voicemail transcripts are on every plan. Surveyors and families both appreciate a record.
Your stack
Native integrations are listed as such. Home care platforms have no native connection yet, so Ody reaches them through Make, webhooks or the REST API.
Push call-out and inquiry summaries into your workflow via Make or the REST API webhooks
import clients, families and caregivers so callers show up by name

Trust
Calls, transcripts and messages are encrypted in transit and at rest and never used to train third-party models. A Business Associate Agreement is available on request. You decide how much the receptionist collects: name, callback number and reason for the call is the default.
Rollout
No hardware, no consultant, no call-flow diagram. Four steps and the line is answered.
Bring the agency number over, or start with a new local number. Porting is free and the old line keeps working until cutover.
Providers, services, hours, insurance you accept, new-patient rules, what counts as urgent. Plain sentences, not call flows.
Ring the front desk, a phone menu, a ring order for on-call, or one number per location, plus what the receptionist does after hours.
Review transcripts and summaries, tighten the instructions, then let the receptionist book more of the schedule.
